We Are Famous For Our Cooking….
Our chefs have been with us for years and get refresher training each year from a restaurateur friend from England. Naturally we have lots of fresh seafood, fruit and vegetables but we cater for the meat-eaters and vegetarians just as well. We have created everything from kosher food to catering for cruise ships ! So just let us know and we’ll look after you.
Cuisine is something we put a great deal of effort into and a particular passion because we think it is important when one is on holiday to really enjoy the food. Meals are a mixture of European, African and Eastern influences with an emphasis on seafood, fresh local produce, grills and home-made condiments; Swahili Night is a feature each week as is the Barbecue. Swahili Food Night and wood-fired barbecues are a specialty and we even have an Italian pizza oven.
We offer an English and Continental breakfast with fresh fruit and fruit juices, home-made yoghurt and muesli, cereals and toast and variety of pastries. Dinner is three courses (or more) and served table d’hote on the outside terrace or main Dining Room. Lunch is served in the Pool Bar and Grill in buffet style with a wide selection of salads and antipasti and pizzas from the authentic Italian pizza oven and designer barbecue. Afternoon tea is also served here from and is a ritual not to be missed after an active day, with home made cakes, tarts, scones, muffins and biscuits. Morning tea/coffee is served in the rooms before breakfast if requested. Each evening our unique hors d’oeuvres – locally known as “bitings” or “finger food” – are served in the Bar. Kinasi has a fun and funky cocktail selection (including non-alcoholic) and well-trained barmen to look after you. The bar remains open until all guests have retired. Kinasi imports its own wines from Australia, South Africa and Italy for its cellar.
